Wrong timing blues. I am sad and dint check the scores after we lost the 6th wicket (Tendulkar).....

Our chase was horrible.... Is it to do with the pitch or what????

I donno why they went in for 5 bowlers strategy.... Ganguly tries a lot of combination but shudn't do that with Pak..

I am sad 'n feeling very bad... :( :(

did he have a choice he really likes in the 14.... Laxman was not available...

Problem started with bowling. Balaji had a bad start while Pathan was bowling tight. It would have made solid difference if Balaji had bowled from the other end in his second spell, after 4 overs.

Turning point was Dravid getting out. Anyway, cant expect him to perform in all the matches. :(

He did not... but blame the selection....

The team split was 7 batsmen (all 7 need to play in ideal case)..., 1 extra wicket-keeper and 6 bowlers (Typical need is only 4 bowlers)...

They shud have maintained a cushion for all departments in case of an injury... They obviously did not have for batsmen...

Indians made it in a thriller... They beat Sri Lanka by 4 runs... the last 4 overs were really exiting... (wud have done a 100 refreshs in 15 mins time   )...

Sehwag made the magic for India both with the bat and ball... 81 runs in 92 balls (kind of unusual one isn't it???? ) and he took 3 wickets including Jayasuriya...

Time to get ready for an interesting finals...

true.. At 40 overs, with jayasuriya in full flow, lankans were poised to win... The moment they lost him, India got a chance and made it.....

Way to go... Just get us the cup please :b:

how does this Asia Cup thing-a-magic work then?

Sri Lanka has 4 wins (2 in phase2)
India has 3 win (2 in Phase2)
Pakistan has 3 wins (1 in phase2)

so ?

India, even though lost to Pak, managed to grab a point in that match... whereas Pak lost miserably to SL failing to get a point.. That made the difference for the entry to finals..

As far as points go on, India has 12, Pak has 5.. They will win the match against Bangla but it will take them to either 10 or 11 , depending on bonus point on that win... So its India Vs SriLanka in the Finals..

Some interesting action waiting for us...

can't help vic... Its tough to design a system for eliminating..

1996 world cup had a drawback.. after winning all 5 prelimnary matches, south africa lost to W.Indies in the first quarter finals...and with that loss, they exited 1996 world cup... Ironically, WI lost to Kenya and had just managed to make 2 wins out of the 5 matches and came to that quarter finals.....

Everyone know abt the super 6.. heck.. we allowed Kenya with no tangible wins to the semis.. cant help this system...
