This is a real life incident and not a story....

This happened during the interview rounds of IIM (A) for the class of 2004........

Interviewer said "I shall either ask you ten easy questions or one really
difficult question.

Think well before you make up your mind!" A boy thought for a while and
said, "my choice is one really difficult question." "Well, good luck to you,
you have made your own choice! Now tell me this. "What comes first, Day or
Night?"

The boy was jolted into reality as his admission depends on the correctness
of his answer, but he thought for a while and said, "It's the DAY sir!"

"How" the interviewer asked.

"Sorry sir, you promised me that you will not ask me a SECOND difficult
question!"

He was selected for IIM!

Good one GCB

That is a very clever answer. But in an interview...I dunno....

If I was the interviewer, I wouldn't have hired him. He seems like a smart aleck. I would rather someone who thought about his answer and came up with an interesting backup for his answer. Thats just me....

Yup true Ferns. But then, this was not for a job, this is in a IIM Interview. Obviously, if I were the interviewer, I would give the seat to a smart student like this.
