Why copied CD's (especilly movie CD) are not stable as original CD?
for example i bought ORIGINAL MOVIE CD from ayngaran 1 year back still now it is working fine.

but some movies i prepared using NERO6 in commercialy avaialble CDs .I used only 7-8 times in DVD PLAYER.After that the CD is getting stuck and making anonymous sounds.

why this is happening for me? is that copied cd poor quality? IS there any special CD to copy movies?

can any one explain to me

Hi paulraj....

Standard cds are more robust due to the silver layer in them... but writable and RW CDs ( rewritables are less robust) are more prone to errors due to the type of dyes used in them and hence even a tiny scratch can cause errors while reading..

I would recomend that u buy silver matted CDs and DVDs with azo dyes.... they may be a bit expensive with respect to cheaper ones but last longer and are more robust... hope it helped...

I havent used any CD cleaning kits. But whenever I have any problem with the CD, I just soak it in soap water for 15-20 minutes and then wash with cold running water. Most of the time it works and I immediately make a copy of it.
