Director: Rama Narayanan
Cast: Sibi, Suha, Manoj K. Jayan, Ponnambalam, Indu, Alex, Vadivelu, Suman Shetty, and Satyaraj

The on-going feud between two village big-wigs, Bhairavamurthy and Gajapathi, leaves a trail of blood and gore, the cops too turning a blind eye in the hope that the two will destroy each other. In the battle of one-upmanship, Bhairavamurthy has the edge, for he has the services of Kathir, his favourite henchman, a terror to his rivals. Kathir is the servant's son, deeply loyal to his master, and sharing a deep friendship with his daughter Amudha. But then the equations change when Kathir and Amudha fall in love...and Kathir now finds himself fighting for his life against the joint forces of Bhairavamurthy and Gajapathi who join hands.

Newfind Suha is chirpy with an engaging smile and performs creditably. Sibi gets a total action role and makes the most of it as the scheming Bhairavamurthy Manoj K. Jayan infuses the necessary aggression and arrogance to his role. Unfortunately for Ponnambalam, whatever role he gets - here it's as Gajapathi - he can't let go his thug-look! Vadievelu's comedy hardly raises a laugh.

Satyaraj has nothing much to contribute here. It's the role of a lazy cop, the actor matching it with a lethargic, lacklustre performance. Wonder why he took the role! It's the remake of a Telugu film giving no chance for Kalaignar Karunanidhi to go creative with his lines here.

It's an old story line, and those who've seen the director's earlier films will find his style repeated here too. He is not much bothered about setting pace with the changing trends and technology. Incidentally, this is his 112th directorial venture. There's nothing much to look forward to here!
