Sudoku

Can you solve it?

http://img285.echo.cx/img285/2906/1243wg.th.gif

There is really only one rule:

Fill in the grid so that
every row,
every column, and
every 3 x 3 box
contains the digits 1 through 9.
non-recursively

answers will be given on tuesday.

been playing this for past 2 weeks, I guess its easy for software people, just you need reasoning since we always practise in Engineering and in all competitive level exams.

I'm writing a program that solves sudoku puzzles, just for the heck of it. Brute-force...

then good luck mate :D

but I bet the first thing all the computer/programming experts did when they first came across SUDOKU was to get a programme to solve it :ahha: I wonder why though...

I wonder why though...
One word: laziness. It's in our genes to work hard to not work hard. :ahha: Solve the problem once, and satisfaction guaranteed!

Cools, check this site. cool one. http://www.sudokusolver.co.uk/

Solve the problem once, and satisfaction guaranteed!

Nope. Itz the other way around. You can't just satisfy with solving a sudoku. :D

I bet, you will ask for another.

Valls if that site has code to solve sudokus, I ain't checking it out!!

You can't just satisfy with solving a sudoku.
:-\. What I meant was, you solve one "type" of problem, and move along to the next. I don't know any programmer who's written 20 different sudoku-solvers! :ahha:

Cools, not sure whether you knew this already. Two types of ways are there to solve sudoku.

For easy levels, you can apply logic.
For difficult levels, you have to apply assumptions and as well logics.

All the best cools. Hope to see 'Coolsudoku' web site soon. :b: :D
