this is how the game works:

1) give two different clues either about events which took place that year or songs/movies which came out that year.

2) the one who answers must provide the next set of clues

easy right :ee:

============================== ====

In this year:

1) one woman decided to start her own business selling natural beauty products sold in recycled bottles (uk)
2) a prolific Birtish mystery novelist passes away...

guess the year?

1965.. :)

The hills are alive with the sound of Music.. :P :P

I liked "How do you solve a problem like Bluey..." very much.. :P

and of course: "atho anththa paravai pOla vaazha vENdum.. " super song.. Liked it even better than Pirates of the carribean, though Ms. Knightely is far cuter than Ms. JJ.. :ee: :P IMHO... :ee:

~~~~~~
Next Clue: (Romba simple one.. :ee:)
A Governor (US State), and the Junior Senator (from an US State), a famous Late Night Show host (from US), a celebrated Author (Born in 'no-man's-land', lives in London and NY).. were all born this year.. :P
And then some one spoke these immortal and one of the most celebrated speeches ever: "Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we
shall redeem. our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially...."
What say? :wink: :P
It was the year of...
the first ever publication of the most famous weekly from USA..
the year that book about an eastern prince written by a man whose parents were christian missionaries, and wife a jewish woman, was published..
the year for the first time when a woman can hold a public office in Boston. :)
Which year, my dear? :wink: :P
Time is not a monthly, Bleukutti.. :)
Although, one of the statements in your reply is correct.. You can guess which is right and which isn't.. :ee:
Answer: 1922
Now figure out the monthly, and the book.. :P
Do you know an easter Prince, who became a philosopher.. some say 'God'.. the book is not about him.. but about him.. :ee: :P
I own a copy of Gray's.. :P Bought it cheap on my bookstore sale. Only 5 bucks.. :ee:
Siddhartha is a great novel. One of the easiest to read from Hesse. And pretty short too.. You can finish it up in couple of hours. (Would you like one, for your in-flight reading.. :ee: :P)..
Forbes is wrong. :D
Good job, GCB.. :clap: :clap:
Readers Digest is an american institution. Especially for those of us who grew up in India, reading them (cheaper and more easily available than Time, and more relevant!).. :D
rr.. the last clue was not specific to a person. Just that, that year was the very first time women were allowed to hold office, in the bluest of the blue states.. :P :P They were far more red than the reddest of red states now.. :sm12: :P
no idea i am new here,
Its a open house, missie miche.. :P Come in, but if you bring some tea and biscuits.. that would be nice.. :wink: :P
