Hi sweetie.

I was using RHL8.0 for some time and now I cahnged to 9.0.
When i was using 8.0 , whenever I am trying to download some big big files like movie files by prozilla and graphics-prozilla (Both are download accelerator as you aware) my kernal hangs.

We can not do any thing if this hanging happenes. So I have to reset the terminal 5-10 times before downloading a full movie file.

This problem happened when I am trying to download some big files from near by net work computers also.

Any idea about this problem?
Under waht conditions kernal hangs?

I was using x.y.18-14 series kernal.

Now I changed to RHL9.0 and I am not facing this problem.

This is strange 6FACE... I have never faced such a situation nor have heard about too...

But looks more like a Memory Problem.... May be something was using up ur memory too much, while u were downloading big files (which itself will take up lot of memory)....
