Uh-oh. The War of the Geeks has begun!!

PS: If the names "Tanenbaum" and "Torvalds" don't ring a bell, you won't get a thing. Seriously.

Ok, on to the steamy stuff! I'm sure a few of you guys are aware of the flame-wars between Linus and Tanenbaum (http://groups.google.com/group/comp.os.minix/browse_thread/thread/c25870d7a41696d2/3f6b594a5b4eccb4) some 14 years back, on microkernels vs monolithic systems.

distributed algorithms??? errr... wat are those?? (I've got an algo paper only next year...)

thanks cools... microkernels and monolithic systems... have to learn more abt. those...
