AVAL UPPUMA


1. Pour water in aval (1 cup) and clean it well. Soak in 1 cup water for 1/2 an hour and squeeze excess water .
2. Mix salt, a pinch of manjal thul, chilly powder (1/4 t.s.) and tamarind extract (puli thanni) or lemon juice as required with soaked aval.
3. In a kadai heat 5 t.s. of oil, add kadugu, ulutham paruppu, kadalai paruppu, karuveppilai and fry.
4. Add onion (1) and green chilies (2) cut in to pieces, fry well.
5. Add aval and mix well for 3 to 4 mts.
