Hi,

For the last 1 week my computer having problem with some spy ware (outer info/ Trojan/ maleware etc.,).Its not allowing me to open a single window. Immediately lots of popup windows appear.

I tried all the way to solve this problem. But i haven’t succeeded yet.

1. I tried to restore my computer. Its failed.its not allowing to restore to back date even in safe mode too.

2. I used "hijackthis" to find out the bad registry and cleaned some of it.It didn't solve the problem.

3. i used adware-6,spy boot, AVG, Windows defender, MacAfee, outerinfo remover tools nothing helped me out.

4. Any good suggestion/software to remove the spy ware..
5. I usually use X-cleaner; it’s a good spy ware remover tool with free of cost. But now it comes as a commercial one:( .B4 buying it i want to get sugg. from G-ppl

Any sugg. please.....
Thanks in advance:sm35:

It looks like it could be a virus, rather than a spyware, Paul.

Spywares in general doesn't mess up your booting and such. Will clog up your internet and memory, but not booting. Disconnect your internet, it should work usually ok..

Spybot and Adaware catches most of the spywares. So if you have scanned it with these two, it would have picked all the spyware. Nearly all..

If you have a virus scanning thingy (latest one), try to scan your pc..

Thanks vasan for the sugg. When ever i scan with adware and spyboot it catches the spyware , after removal of those stuffs, when i reboot the computer(without internet) the things are ok.But once when i connect to the internet, again all the stuffs are back to pavilion .Its a great nuisance ...

Used McAFEe TO DO THE VIRUS SCAN, BUT NO IMPROVEMENT.....:(

BOOTING IS NOT A PROBLEM.WHEN I BOOT THE COMPUTER IN SAFE MODE, IT GOES INSIDE THE WINDOWS. BUT WHEN I TRY TO RESTORE TO BACK DATE(S) ITS FAILED... :(

Did you do all these in safe mode or not ? ... restart your computer in safe mode ... do all the removal and restart in normal mode ....

Try hijackthis once again, and post..

actually you should also post in one those spyware removal forums that hijackthis log.. most of them have better experience and usually help..

the registry keys need to be deleted when the system is running in command mode.
I don't think safe mode helps too.
when it is done using normal login, they get created when windows is restarted

Paul,

Net search:

TRY 1

Please download VundoFix.exe(http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.

Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Update Java:

Your version of Java is now outdated. Java vulnerabilites are commonly exploited by viruses so I strongly recommend you update. Click here(https://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp) to download the latest version of java ( Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1 ). Please install it and then reboot your computer.

Remove the older versions of Java:

Paul,

Rendu options irukku...

Both seems to remove that.

try panni paarungo..

(1) Download the link below and instructions follow pannungo.

http://fileinfo.prevx.com/fileinfo.asp?PXC=e1ca93053549
============================== ========================

(2) http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.exe download pannungo. then follow the steps below:

and download Killbox and save it to your desktop.
Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdReg] C:\WINDOWS\UpdReg.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SManager] smanager.7.exe

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

Close Hijackthis.

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
Put a tick by Delete on Reboot.
In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste the following line.

C:\WINDOWS\smanager.7.exe

Tried AVG8 which combines antispyware and everything in one run. Also, avast4home also not bad, which after installing, scans immediately on next reboot the whole booting system. This I hope may help. I am using both in combination. AVG slows down the computer during scanning.

Anyhow, I didn't have the problem. Sometimes, windowslive page experienced some difficulty in opening, but it was temporary.
