Apple Pickle


1)1 green Apple
2)1 tsp Red Chilli Powderor u can add more if u like to have too hot
3)1/4 tsp fenugreek powder [fry this 1st&then powder it]
4)a pinch of Turmeric Powder.
5)salt to taste
For Seasoning:
1)1 tsp Mustard
2)a pinch of asafoetida
3)Oil for seasoning.


Peel off the apple skin and cut into small cube size pieces.
Add oil in a pan when hot is heated up season it with mustard and asafoetida.
Put the apple pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes. keep the flame in med heat &keep stiring now&then.don't let the apple to cook well.we r just sauteing it with seasoning.Then reduce the heat to low.
Add turmeric powder, fenugreek powder, chilli powder, salt and mix well and saute for a minute. Then turn the heat off when u get the aroma of the pickle. u should not cook the apple with water .don't over cook the apples since we rmaking pickle.u can store it for a week.this goes well with curd rice

This is really new type.. I have never heard of Apple Pickle.. Let me try.. Thanks
