Film: whistle
Starring: Vikramaadithya, Shereen, Gayathri Raghuram

What does a thriller film story look like?
That's exactly how 'Whistle' looks like too.

Gayathri Raghuram and her gang harass and kill Shereen's sister at the school's 'Whistle Day'. Soon, people who were involved in the incident begin to turn up dead under mysterious circumstances. The 2 and half-hour story is about catching the killer.

The whole college suspects that the killer is the ghost of a dead girl named Naaga on whose grave the college was built.

Livingston is a professor. He speaks only of the dead Naaga in his classes. It is kind of unbelievable to see the murderers go to the haunted building to plan their murders.

Though it is a very ordinary story, directors Jedi-Jerry have done a remarkable job in scaring the audience, especially when Livingston appears all of a sudden from his hiding just before the intermission.

Shereen is the principal character. She has scope for acting and glamour. The scene in which she licks the cream off the face of the hero is very hot!

The biggest joke of the film happens when the rest of the student community treats it as a joke when Gayathri Raghuram claims that the students were murdered.

This is the only proper film that Gayathri Raghuram had.

When new heroes are setting records, the newcomer, Vikramaadithya has nothing to do in this film because both the heroines have split the film between themselves.

'Sujatha' had written the film's dialogues. The director could have asked him his suggestions. How did a lifeless body survive unharmed for more than months?

Imam's music is a big strength. Anita's voice and Thaamarai's lyrics in 'Azhagiya Asuraa' are very good.

Vivek's comedy is very enjoyable. He has a disease that enables him to read women's minds. The disease worsens and soon, he begins to understand the language of animals and birds too!

They have maintained the suspense of the film very well- who kills and for what? Meanwhile they have managed to give the audience a scare too.

But, there is nothing strong about eth story. There is nothing new about the songs. Had they looked into these to, 'Whistle would have been a good film.
