I guess its because Men are more attached to women . :D

We men keep our women folk very close to our heart (No 1 Priority). We are second on the womens heart. :Ksp:

Women have themself first in their heart. :nono:

Obviously we can't generalize and say that all guys will react when their girlfriends call other guys chellam etc. But I'm sure a few do. Those who do, I think are still not confident in their relationship. If they were then they wouldn't let simple nice words create a problem.

Although I have never heard of guys reacting, I have heard of a number of my girlfriends worry that their guys are calling other girls chellam, honey, sweetie etc. To be honest, I think that girls are alot more possesive than guys. Just my thoughts...

Miche what does it actually mean "chellam", the exact translation? :?

 My green grocers are really kewl.
It's a couple. They have no problem calling their customers:
sweety
swetheart
love
darling
etc...

I myself have been called one of those several times by both mr and missus. :ee:
Didn't mean a thing

It's kinda sweet ...but come one like it means anything ...

nothing means much these days
even the word "love" is pretty meaningless.....what after having been so fully commercialized.

I don't think guys give a hoot abt it.

however more than the words the manner in which it is said is far more meaningful.

I mean sheesh if A & B are partners
and B calls C "chellam" .... with thoughts of seriously "seducing" C ...then yeah ...A will totally get mad
obvious isn't it :ee:

but if B calls C "chellam" ... in an off hand manner
A wouldn't care :ahha:

so not the words but the manner in which the words are uttered...should matter more.

but then again guys are just plain weird creatures.....who knows what goes on inside that cranium of theirs :Ksp:

SWeetmche............
The real Fact..
Every Indian Guy is "ALWAYS POSSESSIVE" about his other part.
THE ANSWER IS IN UR QUESTION ITSELF.
POSSESSIVE means----- wanting it all.
Indian guys or gals (want ) all of it , from their other part at all time. THEY DONT WANT TO SHARE EVEN LIKE THESE SMALL SHARING OF LOVE WITH OTHERE THAN THEM.
This is a typical guy/gal. Its suits to both sex. but "may be there are some exceptions"

Thanks
Kalpsen

guys are totally weird ....and they can't kick a ball where it's supposed to go
the silly muppettes

and possessiveness is just a flaw in all humans regardless of their gender.......
but perhaps the impulsive weaker sex ..may exhibit a tad more than us
could be due to the larger brain they have to carry arround ...the excess weight is still a mystery ...so perhaps excessive jealousy and other strange emotions may be what they are used for :ee:

okie okie...I'll stop b4 Miche high kicks me out :ee:

huh?? don't understand blue.....does it have to do with euro? i wonder...

I really don't think women are anymore jealous than men when it comes to this "chellam" issue. For sure not indian men! I just think that women are more vocal about it and try to fix the problem. While men just keep it up inside until they can't stand it and just break up the relationship. So it looks as if women are the ones worried.

 hmm yeah

the Chellam issue....maybe no longer a major issue...
and I do belive that we are being unfair to the Indian-Subcontinental man in general
I don't think they are very jealous...they are becoming more aware that certain words of endearments are now used widely enough...and they shouldn't be so worried about it :ahha:

being very optimistic :ee:
