    Default Bachelor Banana Bread

Here is the simplest recipie on the face of the earth! Folks if I can do it...any of you can do it!

    Ingredients:

    Dry
    1 cup plain flour
1 cup bran (or you can use flour)
3/4 cup brown sugar (or regular sugar)
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda

    Wet
    1/4 cup plain yogurt
    1/2 cup oil or butter
1 large egg (if you don't use eggs you can leave it out or use fake eggs)
3 meduim size ripe bananas mashed (don't pulp it!)

    Set to impress your friends....?

    Procedure:

    1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl

    2. Mix all the wet ingredients in another bowl

    3. Now mix the Dry and the Wet in yet another bowl

    4. Grease baking pan and pour mixture in the pan

    5. Bake at 350 for 55-60 mins

    6. Cool for 10-15 minutes and knock your friends out with your baking skills

    Optional

Try adding raisins, nuts or other dried fruits

yes yogesh. You can get brown sugar. It is brown in color, it is more healthy (i think) and it tastes a bit different. I'm not sure in tamil but isn't it the same as vellam?

Correct Shy.. Teacher nalla purinchu vachu irukkanga.. :P

Ferny, don't get confused.. Brown Sugar means both raw sugar (which is what you meant) as well as a drug/narcotic.. (which is why chinna payan yogesh is thinking.. ).. Yoyo-kku konjam vaal thanam athigam.. vilaattu pillai.. vera onnum illai.. :P :P :P

    another recipe for banana bread:

1 cup sugar (brown or white)
    1/2 cup butter
    3 ripe mashed bananas
2 cup flour (can use white or whole wheat)
    1/4 cup milk
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    cream butter and sugar,
add milk and bananas, mix well.
add flour and all other ingredients, mix well
    bake in a bread tin ~45min at 180 C
(check with a fork if baked, if not bake for longer )
