    Default Boneless Chilli Chicken

    Boneless Chilli Chicken

    INGREDIENTS

    350 gm boneless chicken-diced
    1 egg-slightly beaten
    1/2 cup cornflour
    1/2 tsp garlic paste
    1/2 tsp ginger paste
    oil for deep frying
    2 cups onions-chopped coarsely
2 tbsp green chillies-thickly sliced or to taste (remove the seeds if too
    hot)
    1 tbsp soya sauce
    2 tbsp vinegar
    some greens for garnish

    METHOD

Mix together the chicken, egg, cornflour, garlic and ginger paste, and enough water so that the chicken pieces are 'coated' with the batter. Leave thus about half an hour.

Heat the oil and deep fry the chicken pieces over high heat to begin with and then lower the heat till chicken is cooked through. Drain on absorbent paper till required.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok, and stir fry the onions in it over high heat till they look 'wet'.

Add the green chillies and stir a few times, add the remaindered salt, soya sauce, vinegar, and the chicken.

Mix well, and serve garnished with some greens

hey Shy, if you are a veggie, replace chicken with beef Remember, we decided beef is vegetarian...

Thanks Ram. If anybody wants to cook this, volunteer to taste

ps: Unless the meat is tender, it wouldn't do well to deep fry it.... Beef would not taste too good if you do it. Instead you should grill it... Nice steak... juicy juicy New York Steak.. Yum !!! :P :P

Vasan, Shy is my dear friend and we are on the same page so no worries

hey, I thought you volunteered to be in the 'beef is a veggie' team. Anyhow, if egg is vegetarian, why not beef.

My logic goes something like this:
Chicken eat non-veg whereas a cow does not (forcefed in US is not known to the cow) eat non-veg. So, if a chick (egg is nothing but an unborn chick) is a veg, beef is surely veg.

However, I agree with you that beef may not be tasty here. But, you can get tender most beef in US. So, no worries.

Ram, please consider us and suggest something vegetarian (I meant with beef).

*For those who dont know me, this is for fun and dint mean anything bad*

do they sell boneless chicken in the shops

    aiyooo..I'm just kidding...

looks easy enough...I'm sure i could give it a try without messing it up...

btw...any meat if marinated in white wine vinegar and some herbs such as rosemary ..will be tenderised

and the for the vegan option....
tofu is the perfect subsitute for meat in meat dishes

    kewl recipe Ram!!

Shy, as you said it is only logical to conclude that way, right?

please dont break your nice head.... its ok..

Anita, on the lighter side, that makes you a non vegetarian too. logic is same as the one I mentioned above.... please dont ask more explicit details
