Here's your chance to discover new and old தமிழ் literary masterpieces (as well as lesser works ) !!

Come and discuss , dissect, debate about the தமிழ் books.


It's all very simple (and total copy of the "geetham book clucb" )
we select one book to be read within a set limit of a month
and we discuss it as we read it :D

so how about it ?

please suggest some books that you would like to explore.
it does not have to be fiction...but does require to be in தமிழ் :P

and it will be very helpful if they are available online

I thought the Geetham Book club was common to both English and Tamil readers. Anyways, good idea Bluelotus. I would love to read the old epics Gundalakesi and valayapathi. They are not available in complete form and Thamizh thatha U.V.Swami natha Iyer tried a lot to get them on print, but couldnt.

when googling for e-books I came across this master piece. Parthiban Kanavu, by Aamarar.Kalki. Trust me it is ONE amazing book. It has a neat story line and a well designed plot, Its a old book though.
I have read this book 3-4 times right from my school days.

idhellam Ketta, kalki adichikittu azhuvaar. Parthiban Kanavu is a famous Novel written by kalki about the ancient kingdoms of South India, the pallavas Cheras, sozhas and Pandiyas.

Karu Pazhaniappan just took the name of this novel for the movie. NO actual relation with the story.

I'll join in a few months. I'm still in tamil school ...so can't read that well yet. My teacher has promised that I will be reading in a few months. So I'll join you all then to explore great tamil literary works :P
