hey to all coming to germany for studies.....

actually education is free in germany .....

but from this semester some universities in the State of NRW are charging fees of 650€ per semester ...apart from the semester ticket for 100€.................

not only in NRW ...some universities in other states are also charging tuition fees.....

the universities havent given anythibng about the fees in there websites ...and only the tuition fees is mentioned in the admission letter send to the candidate....aware.....

lots of rules r changing for this coming semester.. so bplease be aware of everything before u make signatures. after coming here u have to sign in lots and lots of papers.. just ask them to translate in english. becos all the papers ll be in german. without translation, dont sign anything. ofcourse they wont cheat. but its better to know what u r doing..

    good luck

for doing masters, mostly u wont get any stiphends. only few persons will get schols from DAAD. other persons has to work in university or outside to get some money for survival. previously there was no fees. so no problem for students. since becos of new fees schemes, it will be a probs for students to pay the fees as well as for survival..

i am very much doubt about it. if u r already a student here, then u dont have to pay fees. if u r new student here just from last semester, u have to pay fees in NRW. otherwise will announce the fees scheme for sure. as far as i know, the discussions r going on throughout germany. if u have already enrolled in uni and if u have not finished ur course for 3 years, then u have to pay fees from 7th semester..

    it is like .
if u finish the course in the stipulated period then u no need to pay.
but when u prolonmg ur course more then the time duration required then for sure u have to pay tuition fees.u are given an excemption for 1 year to finish ur course and then u will be charged.this is the rule that has been passed right now in many german universities.

but also there is a rule to be passed for new students.
    the rule is under consideration.
that is new students have to pay tuition fees from the first semester.
hope somethings are clear from this.
