Hi Everyone,

Lately, We are hearing lot of reports that Private Message is being misused.

If we intercept more issues like this following actions will be taken without notice:

1. We will ban the User / IP.

2. If we notice its a group we will ban the entire Ip Range. One Single person's stupidity could lead to access loss to all in that range.

3. If it goes out of control, No user will have Private Message Access.

Pay Attention, If you know your friends are doing it, inform us. We take care of the Rest.

Geetham is a social chit-chat place, Use it Wisely.

Yup. Thats what it means.

However, if you are ok in your posts, you could send a email to the administrators (and may be mods too). They will be able to help.

Safety of all the users is THE most important thing - and we tend to take it very seriously.

That will how it will work unfortunately. If we don't ban the IP then, the banned user can keep on creating new user ids and continue what he/she was doing. We just don't have the resources to monitor and prevent this.

Yes, it is a kind of unfair, but there is no other way. Normally institutes operate through firewall/proxy and every computer inside the firewall will share the IP range, atleast the first three numbers. But if you feel so strongly about it, we can explore if there other options, which I dont know whether we have any.
