    yellow

Definition: A person who is scared easily; a cowardly individual.

Example: 1) Chris didn't surprise me when he ran away from the war zone--I always knew he was yellow.

    Synonyms: chicken

Dr T....hit the spot...never heard of that one before Thanks!

    Yellow...yeahhh.....another one like that...."White as a ghost"...means pretty much the same...ie: someone who's scared....in shock...terrified...etc.....!! !

    ...."White as a ghost"...means pretty much the same...ie: someone who's scared....in shock...terrified...etc.....!! !
Not quite the same, Ms ScotlandYard

I am yellow - but you are brave. I become white as a ghost, for nothing. Even brave and courageous people can become 'white as ghost' when they are in shock...

Shell-shocked people can become 'white as ghost'..

Those who are perennially afraid (not psychologically damaged), but more cowardly, lacking mental courage (meaning afraid of taking a stand) or some one who does not say things openly (talk frankly) but does so in inunedo's for the fear of retribution, is yellow...
Indeed Gossip magazines, are doing 'yellow' journalism.. :P :P

    love handles

Definition: Unsightly fat that shows from the sides at the waist, usually on men.

Example: 1) I need to exercise more -- my love handles are growing!

Etymology: Fat at the waist sometimes forms 'handles' or grips that a lover could grab and hold onto.
