    never seen this one. how does this look

    have a question for quite a long time...is mochai and lima beans the same

    I don't know abt chow-chow-marrow.

    Lima beans and mochai are different. Mochai in english is called as Field Beans(Red kidney beans)

    How come Sundakkai has Sundakka as the name ? Is Sundakkai grown only in Tamilnadu ???

    Thanks a lot ...now when i call amma for a recipe i can tell the name of the veg so she can understand it or when she tells me something i can understand now ...lot of new names

    enakku bengali version dhaan romba pidichirukku. endha perume vayiliye nozhayale :P :P. sundakkai'ku 4 southern states'layum ore madiri dhaan irukkum peru.

    Doc, nice post. I always had doubt on what is Ridge Gourd. Too many Gourds to remember. All I figured out was Snake gourd and after struggle, bitter gourd.

    Some lucky chap sitting some where right now, has no idea that he is getting educated about the names of vegetables..

    Queenie.. ellaa names- kaththukkonga.. appo thaaney you can 'place the order' correctly.. appuram pudalangaai kuutu-vennunnuttu, vaazhakkai varuval 'order' pannidaatheengo.. (athuvum pannalaam.. just that the personal chef needs to know your lingo.. :P :P)..
