    Default Idly manchurian

    Idly - 4-6
    Onion - 1
Red chillies - 4 (add few water and grind it to a paste)
Garlic - sliced very thin or u can use garlic paste - 1.4 spoon
    Tomato sauce

    (1) Cut idlies into cubes. there are 2 options, one you can deep fry them before using it or if you want soft ones, soaked well, you can use them as such..
    (2) In a tava, add 3 spoons of oil, mustard seeds(a few), urad dhal(a few), then add garlic and then onion(cut lengthwise), let it brown. Now add the red chillies paste, let it simmer for a few minutes, now add the tomato sauce. again let it simmer for few minutes, Now add the idly cubes and salt, mix it well and leave it for 4-5 minutes.
    Garnish with corriander leaves.

    Simple tiffin ready

Teena & Igg Try this link on Page 3
    http://www.geetham.net/forums/ltopic,2665,0,asc,70.html

    Teena,
it depends on wat rice u use...i usually use parboiled rice....& if i use long grainrice (pacharisi) then i add a little cooked rice to it...& it comes out soft

Buy frozen parota and try the same receipe and substitute idly with parota. It will also be too good and go well with onion raita.
