    Thats easy

Ratio for Milk and Sugar is : If One cup of Milk, then quarter cup of sugar.

So take as many cups of milk you want.

    (1) Boil the milk in a very simmer heat. Usually it might take 2-3 hrs, depending upon the quantity of Milk. Consistency should be like, the milk will become thick, reduced in volume and it might even change color.
    (2) Now add sugar and keep stirring for like 30-45 mins. (Yep, it might be painful.. have someone to help u ) You can stop when all the water from the sugar is dried up, or when u can see the lum consistency where u can make bars, balls whatever shape you want.

thats it. You can serve it like that, or add some cardomom powder on top or add badams and pistas.. its all ur imagination

but it will not be that change in color.. a slight change

In stores, usually they dont use milk, but condensed milk which has sugar already right.. so may be thats the reason..

I have heard theres food coloring in diff colors.. may be because of that too.. who knows there might be white too
