    Hi aruna

Chilli chicken recipie seems to be good.I would like to try out but before that i have a question.Usually whatever item we prepare using ginger-garlic we add more garlic and a piece of ginger. In this recepie u have asked to add 200gms of ginger for 300gms garlic. Will it not affect the masla taste?By the way which vinegar to use........an usual one or rice vinegar

    aruna,

sorry.. I didn't notice sivam's comments here... Exactly the same thing as what I commented for your 'chicken noodle' recipe...

here too you are suggesting 200 gms of ginger and 300 grms of garlic.. But for 1 kg chicken (in the noodle recipe it is for 300 gms of chicken)...

I don't think your proportions are right. Please check it. Its nothing todo with cooking in US and in India. I have made chicken, in several recipes, both in India and in US, and I know this is too much.

Ofcourse, you might prefer to have plenty of ginger and garlic in your preparation, if so, then you should say it so. Please don't be offended, but I thought it will help for some of us who has no prior knowledge in cooking non-veg, and go by the book.

Thanks, and hoping you would understand.

    oru chinna suggestion on health:

aginomotto / MSG (monosodium glutamate) use pannum podhu oru pinch (as aruna has stated) that is more for a day. I ALSO WISH TO ADD THAT FDA considers its safe to use and has 'NO SPECIFIED' daily acceptable intake limit.
when used more than one 5mg / day / person, it is reported to cause some serious health hazards (in MSG - sensitive individuals) and there are also reports on its addiction property.

i understand that it is a wonderful taste enhancer, and personally i DO NOT discourage or encourage its use.

for brief information on MSG please visit http://www.geetham.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3202 if interested

complements to aruna!!! it is a wonderful recipe.

i wish to inform that i am not criticising this recipe. it is just that i am using this space, plz excuse or ignore this if u do not like. I STRICTLY MEAN NO OFFENCE TO THIS RECIPE OR ITS WRITER OR ANYONE.

in my PERSONAL VIEW i would suggest usage of fresh lemon juice instead of vinegar. i think it imparts a smell that is quite distinguishable from western cooking.
again no offence towards anyone plz.

what do u think of using lemon juice in the place of vinegar srigan?

I prefer lemon juice instead of vinegar.

I used to use lemon juice with fish fry.

Any deep frying item can take lemon juice instead of vinegar.

Thats a very Good suggestion sandhiya.

Athe pola, before you cook a non-veg (any meat, fish), always wash it through a water and few salt, then wash back with fresh water romba nallathu.
