    Teena...that old man is adding the following ingredients...

    moongdhal(paasi paruppu), channa dhal(kadalai paruppu),little bit of tamarind,green chillies,coconut,mint leaves,coriander leaves, curry leaves,salt,cumin and mustard seeds...

    me made like this...

    konjam oil pottu..add moongdhal - 3 spoons

    channa dhal - 3 spoons

    konjama tamarind

    then green chillies - 2

    ithu ellam fry pannidunga...then cool it little bit...

    appuram add all these to the grinder along with

    coriander leaves - oru one cup

    mint leaves - oru one cup

    then coconut say like half cup

    Grind the above adding salt and lasta cumin,mustard seeds,curry leaves pottu thalichidunga...

    PS: that old man adds cumin,mustard seeds and curry leaves in the begining itself...ippadiyum try pannalaam...

    My mom's version appurama post pannuren...

    I usually lightly sautee/fry the coriander leaves and mint leaves, Doc..
    Otherwise, it will be some "sidhdha vaithiyam" medicine maathiri irukkum.. I think..

    Coriander is okay. Yevalo fry panninalum indha mint leaves kassapa irukku.

    next time vaangum podhu, crush a leaf and see if its tender and smells good, Doc..

    young ones are always good. old leaves (much like old people, ) are often bitter..

    Teena may be antha ingredients fry panni stove off senja udane...lesa heat irukkum bodhu mint leaves pottu edunga...konjam raw smell pogum...

    kasappa ethukku taste varum theriyalaiye...
