    hmmm...sWeeT .... good suggestion !

    hey smelly,

if you have problem viewing/reading those websites...try out what sWeet Miche said!

But if you are to view and you want 2 copy+paste it here in geetham...

    try out Font convertor here!

    http://www.geetham.net/forums/conver...20to%20unicode

    1. change the font type (eg.vikatan in drop down box ! )
    2. paste the copied text from the website there in 1st box.
    3. click on the 2nd box.
    4. Voila...you should see unicode text in 2nd box.

Bad news :: tamilcinema.com uses amudham font, which we dont support here.

Good news :: vikatan and kumudam text are available

PS: I hope you are with me till now and not lost !

    Sweet,

I can read - yes. No problem. Its with the cut+paste thingy I have some trouble. Anyways, thanks for your help. I will try what the-man-who-breathes-and-lives-through-others-eyes (MaWo BLiTOEy) suggested...

    Vennai,

I tried that da... I copied the stuff from Vikatan, chose the vikatan style in the converter, and then presto.. all garbled messages... Dunno why.... I am almost lost.. :?

But since you say thats the way it is.. I shall again with the road map... There are some good articles by Sujatha on current tamil lit every now and then.. and I thought of sharing it with the good folks in Geetham...

thanks for your help, ma Vennai Chellam .. eerrr... Sorry, mICHe, dialogues kettu kettu enakkum appadiye varuthu....:D Thanks da MaWo BLiTOEy!!

    ma frend smelly, ()

coz u say i try ..and it works ma..

    http://www.geetham.net/forums/conver...ype_in=Vikatan

    try this link for vikatan...

    Code:
    ƒƒY"£x `L"|mT®Ñ
    ƒYû&YÔƒ GÔT®Ñ
    HU"Öï &Y'X!ƒƒ
    the above supposedly junk...became...

    Code:
    ‘‘வாய்ஸ் கொடுப்பதும்
    ‘வருவேன்‘ என்பதும்
    ஏமாற்று வேலை!‘‘

    ma Vaathiyaar...

the supposed junk still reads like some other junk.. ennadaa, pagudi pannuraiyaa? :? :?

ok.. let me try some more.. wait for a while before commenting.. OK....

Ada... sariyaathaan solli irukkee... I used to see the code in the font converter and get frustrated... Only after saying 'add to the message' or text, it becomes readable.. Vikatan page was down so I copied this from this week's Kumudam.. Now it reads fantastico...

Aaaha! This is what I was waiting for. I wrote a portion of a tamil story in Geetham and it used to crash. It happened more than three times and I got frustrated after typing for more than 1 hour. I downloaded Murasu edior, typed in that and tried pasting it in Geetham and it looked like some other junk. So I gave up and decided, "Cool it baby" and passed.

I will try my Murasu editor writing with this converter to see if it works.

If am not wrong, All the magazines do provide a link to the font that they used.. You shud be able to download the font from that place... Most magazines use Amutham font.. If u have this font, u shud be able to read...

Is this what u r looking at or something else...
