    hi friends,
    here is the recipie for garlic rasam. it is really tasty and good when u r sick with cold.

    1.garlic cloves - 6 or 7,
    2.grated coconut - 1/2 cup
    3.urad dal - 1 tsp
    4.toor dal - 1 tsp
    5.jeera - 1 tsp
    6.black pepper - 1 tsp
    7. red chillies - 6
    8. coriander seeds - 1 tsp
    9. mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
    10. tomatoes small - 2,
    11.tamarind lime sized,
    12.steamed toor dal - 1 cup,
    13.ghee - 3 tsp
    14.salt to taste

    1.Cook toor dal and keep aside.
    2.Roast urad dal, toor dal, jeera, black pepper,red chillies, coriander seeds in 2 tsp ghee. Add grated coconut and grind .
    3.Peel the garlic. Roast the garlic cloves well in 2 tsp ghee.To the ground paste, add about 5 cloves of roasted garlic and grind once again.
    4.To the tamarind juice, add salt and tomatoes and heat well. Add the remaining garlic cloves to the boiling mixture and heat well.
    5.Now add the steamed toor dal and the ground paste and cook for a little while.Add some water too.
    6.Add curry leaves and fresh coriander leaves.
    7.Splater mustrad seeds and jeera in ghee and add to the rasam.
    though, the recipie is time consuming, it is really tasty and assured of trying.

    I think garlic rasam would help when suffering from cold right? Obviously Garlic is good for health.
    Is this any traditional formula or brought up by trial and error!!!

    PARUPPU KOLAMBU:

    take thuvaram paruppu - 1 tamblar.
    .let it moist(vooravai)
    .take 5 small dhille,big chirragam, small chirragam
    .make them a semi-solid.(arraithu vaithukol)
    .dont make it so nise (nisa arraikatha).
    .take some puli,salt,
    .make puli thanni.
    .add the float some water & make it into a liquid(arraitha viluthai thanniaga karaithu aduppil vaithu kothikka vaithu kattiaga vantha vudan errakkavum)
    .keep it in the stove and heat it till it becomes a semi solid.
    .add required salt, puli.

    Thakkali koolambu:
    take 1/4 kg of tomato ,onion,some pattai,kadugu,ulundam paruppu.
    .fry them in oil
    .add required salt & chilli powder.
    .add pili water to it and make the stove to be at "sim"
    .take it down.
    .the tasty "tomato katti kolambu is ready to serve now.
