This is mostly done with leftover idlis. It can also be done with fresh ones.

Mustard seeds for tempering
Tomato puree or paste-1 tbsp
Red chilli pwd-1tsp
Turmeric pwd-pinch
Curry leaves-2
Salt to taste

Cut idlis into make into small cubes and keep it aside.
Mix red chilli pwd,turmeric pwd,salt in little water and keep it aside.
Add oil in kadai heat it. Add mustard seeds,let it splatter, add curry leaves, add chilli water mixture into it and tomato puree, add some more water in case it becomes dry. Close it for 2mins and let raw smell go. Then open and stir till it becomes paste like then add the crushed idlis and stir it thoroughly so that the idli is coated with the masala.Fry it for sometime. Add oil if it becomes too dry.
If u need a nice aroma add some garam masala or if wanted little sweet and sour taste add little more tomato puree.
Suitable for evening tiffin.
