Default Net Vision : Collection of Pics from Web

[highlight=blue:de62bae485]Net Vision - Collection of Pics from Web[/highlight:de62bae485]

Daily we come across many pics of places, people and events that capture the eye and mind. Pics that make you smile, or drool, or feel uplifted or in some ways makes the day little more pleasant. Not just beautiful photos - but beautiful things as photos as well...

I will keep posting new photos here, in this thread. The readers are welcome to post their collections too.. But just to manage the numbers, please post only one pic per day (any person can post - but each must post only one per day). Also, if there are more than several people posting on that day, perhaps you might want to wait for the next day.

Please include some commentary on why you think the pic is beautiful and why it affected you enough to make you want to share it with all your friends in Geetham. Please follow these suggestions, so every one would get a chance to appreciate and participate. Have a nice day, folks.. !

Very predictably my first photo is that of Ms. Aishwarya Rai.. :P This is a beautiful pic, because I believe Ms. Rai is not consciously smiling for the camera and, while she knows she is being taped or photographed, she makes do as though she is distancing herself from that. The photo was taken on a function to promote L'Oreal in India. She is the Brand Ambassodor for their products.

What is beautiful? Aish on a close up - eyes on a close up.. Truly gorgeous!

Actors/actresses are beautiful, however for me nature and the love of that is more grandeur :P :P

The beauty of nature, the natural world, Mother Nature, Mother Earth, the environment (for me) is simply magnificent....

    PS: Thanks Vasan...very good topic

    Good Bye, Mr. President !

The 40th President of USA, Mr. Ronald Wilson Reagan died in his sleep on 06/05/2004 after a long battle with Alzheimers. Hailed as an unfailingly courteous man, Mr. Reagan left behind a legacy of ending Cold War and soaring economy. His landslide victory in 1980 is as much historic as the gracious manner of his leading and retirement. A nation mourns for one of the best loved of its Presidents.

hey it's a very nice collection vasan. I like it. There are many illusions I have seen, but the rotating disc is real nice. Most of the illusions tend to stress the eye, this one doesn't.

Mount Semeru volcano (unseen) spews smoke at sunrise, three days after nearby Mount Bromo volcano erupted killing two people, 75 km (46 miles) south of Surabaya, the capital of East Java on Friday, June 11, 2004. Indonesia sits astride the geologically active Pacific "ring of fire." It has more than 100 active volcanoes.

Keep Your Head Cool - Wear a Hat !!

Its the Outrageous Hats for Women Day in England - or as the tiny islanders call it, the Royal Day at Ascot (the horse races.. :P). Photo shows Alicia Witt (a US actress) donning one such lovely hat....

One for Saving the Environment - Under Water.. !!

Tim Keeney (L), deputy assistant secretary for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, places a geodetic marker on the sea floor in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, off Key Largo, Florida, on June 17, 2004. Watching Keeney at right, is Jim Connaughton, a senior White House environmental advisor. The geodetic marker is the first of its kind under the ocean, according to officials, and defines an area of Molasses Reef restored in 2003 following a 1984 ship grounding that pulverized 16,683 square feet of live coral.
